Do I need to use an application form?

How do I submit a Grant Application Form?
We can only accept applications by post, please do not email thank you.
Can I talk to someone before I submit an application?
Yes, you are welcome to phone the office but please make sure you read the guidelines first.
How much information should I send with the initial application?
In addition to the application form, please enclose an itemised income and expenditure budget for the work you are asking us to fund. You are also welcome to attach a supporting letter of no more than 2 sides of A4 please.
Can I expand the boxes on the application form?
NO, if you wish to include further information please provide no more than 2 sides of A4
Are there any deadlines?
You can apply at any time.
When can we expect to receive an answer?
We aim to reply to every new application within a month of receipt. If we are able to take it further the process can take up to six months.
Do we have to be a charity to get a grant?
We only make grants to organisations with charitable purposes. The Foundation works with registered charities, industrial and provident societies, exempt charities and community interest companies or organisations applying for charitable status.
Are there maximum and minimum grants?
No, but please read individual grant programmes for guidelines on grant amounts.
How long can we be funded for?
Up to three years, very occasionally more.
How often are the grants meetings held?
There are 6 grants meeting a year.
Can I reapply if I am turned down?
It is not normally advisable to reapply within a 12 month period. If you wish to reapply within this time please contact the office.
Can we have more than one grant at the same time?
Not usually, but you can always talk to us
