Morag Burnett - Trustee
Morag joined the Board as a trustee in 2009. She has extensive experience in the arts and in international development. She was born and brought up in Scotland where she worked for the Edinburgh International Festival. In 1997, she moved overseas with an international development agency, working with grass-roots activists in Honduras and the Dominican Republic. On her return to the UK Morag headed Christian Aid's Communications and Information Unit. She has a law degree from Edinburgh University and an MBA from the University of Warwick. Her interests include charity governance, strategy and change management. Morag currently lives in Mexico City. -
Dodie Carter - Trustee
Dodie joined the Board as a trustee in 2005. She was previously a trustee of The Chase Charity. She works part-time as a manager in a joint Health and Social Care team that looks after older people with mental health problems. She has had a long career in social work, most of it generic and, until recently, frontline. She as a BSc, CQSW and MA in mental health. She has now partly retired which allows more time for music, literature, politics and culture in her home city of Cambridge. With her partner, she has performed harp and accordion with poetry and song in many venues ranging from psychiatric units to prisons. In addition, Dodie has seven lively grandchildren. She is also a Trustee of the Swan Mountain Trust. -
Paul Cotterill - Trustee
Paul joined the Board as a trustee in 2009. He trained as a nurse and went on to work in overseas development in Bangladesh, India and Tanzania. On his return to the UK in the late 1990s, he became involved in a range community development, regeneration and social enterprise activities, as well as becoming a local councillor. -
Leo Fraser-Mackenzie - Treasurer
Leo joined the Board as a trustee in 2005. He was previously a long standing trustee of the Lankelly Foundation. He is currently the Fondation's Treasurer and chairs the Finance and Social Investment Committee. He spent nearly 30 years working in investment banking in the City of London for Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Bank. His experience covers banking, credit administration and secretariat matters. He has been a front line compliance officer for a wide range of investment banking businesses, including four years for Deutsche Bank in Moscow. He was treasurer for Streetwise Youth 1 at its inception in Earls Court in the 1980s before it started to work in partnership with Barnados and in Moscow was a member of a group providing practical support and advice for Sudanese refugees. For more than 40 years he has been responsible for a small family estate in the Highlands which is now self-supporting through businesses which have been developed and leased out including a mobile home and camping park and a country house hotel. -
Victoria Hoskins - Trustee
Victoria joined the Board as a trustee in 2005. She was previously a trustee of the Lankelly Foundation. She is a Director and Senior Private Banker on the Charities team at Barclays Wealth Private Bank. From 2007 to 2010, Victoria was Investment Director for London & South East Core business, responsible for £2bn in private client portfolios, Charity and Pension Funds along with Trust investments and bespoke mandates. In addition Victoria also provides market comment for publications and makes regular television appearances on CNBC and for the BBC. Victoria is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute and sits on the CISI Review Editorial Panel, and Wealth Management Forum. In previous lives Victoria owned and operated Cafe Mamba in her home town Wellington. After 5 years, the business was sold and this part funded 5 years earning a crust singing with Opera and Musical Theatre companies in Europe, Asia and New Zealand. -
Marion Janner OBE - Trustee
Marion joined the Board as a trustee in 2009. She runs Star Wards and its parent charity Bright. Drawing on Marion’s experience as a detained inpatient, Star Wards works with mental health trusts to transform the daily experiences and treatment outcomes of mental health inpatients through best use of staff and patients’ time and skills. It has been described as the most significant development in mental health inpatient care for decades, and led to Marion receiving an OBE for services to mental health. Previous roles include Project Manager at Learning Difficulties Media, Director of Payback, Head of Services, Nacro and more. Marion is also known as the companion of Buddy, her legendary support dog, as the foster mother of Eddie and Matthew, both of whom have the learning disability Williams’ Syndrome, and (thanks to Eddie and Matthew) for her considerable knowledge of The Making of Michael Jackson’s Thriller film. -
Peter Latchford OBE - Trustee
Peter joined the Board as a trustee in 2009. He is a Director of Black Radley Ltd. He works at board level in the private and public sectors, focusing on strategy, facilitation and troubleshooting.
He is visiting Professor of Enterprise at Birmingham City University, Chair of a LIFTCo (a public-private partnership in the health sector), Chair of the Community Development Foundation, Chair of the Birmingham Leadership Foundation, and a Fellow of the RSA. He was formerly Chair of Urban Living (the housing market renewal pathfinder).
Peter’s book on enterprise in the public sector, African Igloos and Public Service Heroes, has recently been published by Wingfast. He has worked extensively across a wide range of public service settings. He has acted as an advisor to local government on community cohesion, equality and on Big Society.
Peter has been a Chief Executive in both the private and public sectors. He paints portraits, plays in a band called Nockford, has three teenage daughters and does not get a word in edgeways.
Peter was awarded the OBE in 2012 for services to business and the community.

Alison Leverett-Morris - Trustee
Alison joined the Board as a trustee In 2009. She is a consultant with a passion for the arts as a vehicle for positive social change. After graduating in Fine Art and Aesthetics (Cardiff University, 1994) she worked as an artist in the community, primarily with young people at risk, before moving into the voluntary sector with organisations including NACRO and Women’s Aid. She was Director of ITHACA (2000-07), an organisation specialising in the fields of arts and mental health, arts and older people and Disability Arts. She has an MA in Cultural Leadership (City University, 2008). She currently enjoys working with a diverse portfolio of clients including arts organisations, museums, housing associations, local authorities and schools: as well as enjoying life with her husband and young baby. -
Clive Martin - Trustee
Clive joined the Board as a trustee in 2005. He is Chief Executive of Clinks, the national body that supports the work of the voluntary and community-based sector working with offenders and/or their families. Clinks membership numbers several hundred and includes large national organisations as well as small local providers. His roles include being a member of the Ministry of Justice 3rd Sector Advisory Group; Chair of ACEVO Special Interest Group on Crime; a trustee of various voluntary organisations and a Board Member of the newly formed 3sc (Third Sector Consortium). Additionally sits on the Skills for Justice Council and the Social Investment Partnership Advisory Group.
Prior to joining Clinks he was a Senior Lecturer in Community Education. He has worked in Offender Education for many years as well as having managed various initiatives, including European and national projects aimed at the social inclusion of offenders. He is a graduate of KwaZuluNatal Technikon (South Africa) and London University.

Andrew Robinson MBE - Vice Chair
Andrew joined the Board as a trustee in 2009. He is the Foundation's Vice Chair and chairs its Administration Committee. He is a director of CCLA, the largest manager of charity funds in the UK. He is a trustee of a number of organisations seeking to make a tangible difference in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities, and has been a member of a number of related government working groups and task forces. Previously he was the head of Community Development Banking for RBS and NatWest, leading a cross-divisional team responsible for the not-for-profit and social enterprise sectors. Prior to these roles he worked for the Royal Bank of Canada, a foundation and a health related charity. Andrew has a BA (Eng Lit) and a MBA. He was recognised with an MBE for services to social and community enterprise in 2003 -
Kanwaljit Singh - Trustee
Kanwaljit joined the Board as a trustee in 2007. He has worked in housing and the voluntary sector for many years. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has an MBA from Birmingham University. He is a Justice of the Peace and a Board Member of Framework Housing Association -
Nick Tatman - Chair
Nick joined the Board as trustee in 2005. He was previously a Trustee of the Lankelly Foundation. He became Chairman of the merged LankellyChase Foundation in 2006. He was first employed at the Bank of England for ten years, before moving on to be a member of the Stock Exchange. Nick ended his City career as a director of a leading global investment bank. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute and a long time Governor of Dulwich College.
Nick's main interests are the Turf, having owned racehorses for thirty years, rugby (his playing career was ended by a broken neck sustained against a team of Irish Priests) and golf.
