Susan Ash - Programme Director - Breaking Cycles of Abuse
Susan joined the Foundation in 2000, after working in the Voluntary and Community Sector for 25 years in London and in the Midlands. Her career included managing local projects and working for national charities at county and regional level, providing training and development support to local groups. In 1998 she gained a MSc in Social Policy & Planning, with a focus on the voluntary sector, at the London School of Economics. Susan has developed specialist knowledge in the areas of governance and employment practice. In her leisure time hobbies include, swimming, walking and training her dog, reading and design projects

Lindsey Barker - Finance Officer
Lindsey joined the Foundation in October 2007 as Finance Officer. Prior to this she worked at a variety of organisations doing mainly administrative roles. She is a qualified MAAT (Master of Associated Accounting Technicians).

Julian Corner - Chief Executive
Julian joined the Foundation as its Chief Executive in 2011. His previous roles in the voluntary sector include Chief Executive of the criminal justice and mental health charity Revolving Doors Agency, and trustee of Hact (Housing association charitable trust). Julian has twice worked as a civil servant, mainly in the Home Office but also in the Department for Education and Employment and the Social Exclusion Unit (SEU). While at the SEU he led its report on reducing re-offending by ex-prisoners which led to the creation of the National Reducing Re-Offending Strategy. He is currently a trustee of Clinks, the membership body for voluntary organisations that work with offenders and their families. Julian began his career studying, lecturing and writing about nineteenth century English literature, particularly George Eliot.

Marian Durban - Financial & Administration Manager
Marian joined the Foundation in October 1989 as a Secretary/Administrator, bringing the staff team up to 3. As LankellyChase grew she became Office Manager and subsequently Financial and Administration Manager. Her previous work experience was varied: ‘Girl Friday’ for an entertainment agency, Wages Clerk for a factory, Secretary/Marketing Supervisor etc. She obtained an Open University BSc in Social Sciences in 2001. Marian is married with a grown up family. Her hobbies are reading, gardening and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

Karen Flippance - PA to the Chief Executive & Information Officer
Karen joined the Foundation in September 2004 as Grants Administrator before becoming the Chief Executive's PA/Information Officer. Prior to this she worked in the private sector, mostly in secretarial roles. Her spare time is spent riding her pony, taking care of her miniature shetland & other menagerie, walking, sewing, and enjoying spare time with partner and family.

Jane Gibson - Secretary
Jane joined the Foundation in 2007. She had no previous experience of the Third Sector and has learned a great deal about not only the work of the Foundation but also the work of the many charities it supports. It has been a bit of a revelation!

Ailsa Hollond - Programme Director - Free & Quiet Minds
Ailsa joined the Foundation in 1989. She is responsible for the Free and Quiet Minds Programme and also oversees the Arts Programme.
Before that she worked for the General Medical Council in its Education Department, the British Standards Institute, the Education, Science and Arts Select Committee of the House of Commons and the BBC. When she worked as a freelance researcher, between the BBC and Parliament, she was employed by MORI and the BBC. She read English Language and Literature at Edinburgh University.

Cathy Stancer - Programme Director - Custody & Community
Cathy joined the Foundation in 2007. She Is responsible for the Custody and Community Programme. Cathy has worked in the voluntary sector since starting out as a volunteer straight from university in 1996. Since then she has worked in organisations in the fields of mental health, asylum and criminal justice including a spell as a campaigns intern in an anti-death penalty organisation in Washington DC. Immediately prior to joining LankellyChase she was Director of Women in Prison where among other things she was on the expert panel advising Baroness Corston during her 2007 review of vulnerable women in the criminal justice system.

Brian Whittaker - Programme Director - Local People Local Places
Brian joined the Foundation in 1992. He is responsible for the Local People Local Places Programme and taking the lead in developing the social impact investment strategy for the Foundation. He trained as a Town Planner during the 1970s before moving into youth work. During the 1980s, he managed a neighbourhood based family centre in an inner city area of Coventry before moving to Swindon to manage the Council for Voluntary Service.
